Colour is the first mnemonic element perceived in design. Before shapes, words, or content are retained, the brain registers colour.
On Colour Off Colour is a design blog publishing essays, reviews, and short-form observations that treat colour as design, not decoration. Our interest lies in the strategies designers use and in how meaning is formed through chromatic decisions.
Submissions
We accept submissions from designers, writers, artists, and researchers working with colour.
Submissions should focus on a clearly defined chromatic problem. The work may be critical, analytical, speculative, or observational, but it should be intentional and precise.
To submit, include:
- A short description of the piece
- Relevant images or references (if applicable)
- A brief author bio
